Russians have visited popular tourist destinations more than 17.35 million times this past year, reflecting not only their resilience post-pandemic but also significant shifts in travel behavior. According to the travel tech platform Level.Travel, the online travel booking market has fully rebounded to pre-COVID levels and continues to thrive.
Throughout 2024, Russian travelers ventured to the top 20 most popular tourist countries, making approximately 14 million trips through classic tour packages, marking a notable increase compared to previous years. This surge highlights the role of well-organized travel options as preferences shift.
The year 2024 saw Level.Travel’s audience and overall turnover double compared to 2019, indicating a strong recovery and growing interest among Russian tourists. An analysis of booking trends reveals dramatic changes: where more than 15 percent of tour bookings were for amounts up to 30 thousand rubles back in 2019, this figure plummeted to only 2 percent by 2024. Conversely, bookings exceeding 220 thousand rubles skyrocketed to 33 percent, representing over six times class shifts.

For the upcoming summer season, which spans from late March to October, AirBaltic plans to operate 23 direct routes across various European cities.
Highlighting flight offerings, AirBaltic will provide up to two flights daily to Amsterdam, along with two weekly flights to Billund and Nice, three times weekly to London, and up to five times weekly to Munich. This expanded service showcases the airline’s commitment to catering to both business and leisure travelers, aligning perfectly with the expected growth of travel demand.
