Is Hershey Super Sweet Adventure worth it?

Chicago Parent’s assistant editor, Nikki Roberts, attended the media preview of Hershey Super Sweet Adventure. Here are her bite-sized takeaways from the experience:
As a lover of all things chocolate, I was definitely excited to check out this new candy land play place in downtown Chicago. The experience began with friendly staff members called Sweet Seekers getting us excited to explore the super sweet adventure. A sliding door was opened to reveal a glowing Hershey’s play space, and off we went!
The experience is divided into four main candy-themed play zones. There is a cute storyline to guide your adventure, but once you enter the space, it’s pretty much free play. There are no time restrictions or limits to how many times your family can play at each station, and there are a few cute Easter eggs hidden in plain sight that guests of all ages will enjoy.
Families with littles will love the Reese’s Combination Station, a peanut butter-and-chocolate-themed area where kids can play with rubber balls by shooting them out of air cannons, sending them down a winding maze of tubes and more. My personal favorite was the Hershey’s Kiss station, where I got to design my own Hershey’s Kiss foil wrapper on a coloring sheet and then watch it come to life on an animated conveyor belt. Seriously, it was too cool!
For the $24-30 per person price tag, I’d recommend this sweet adventure for spoiling the candy lovers in your family, either for a special occasion or to add a little sweetness to your weekend or a day off school. At the end of the adventure, everyone will leave with a candy goodie bag and the opportunity to collect even more sweets at the gift shop.
