Gemstone Locations – Hello Kitty Island Adventure Guide

Wheatflour Wonderland, the new region introduced in Hello Kitty Island Adventure’s Wheatflour Wonderland DLC, is filled with sparkling Gemstones of all types for you to find. These Gemstones are used to craft Wands that have a variety of effects, as well as to open chests around the area that contain treasure such as Wheathearts.

Gemstones are generally RANDOMIZED – the location where the gem appears will be consistent, but the type of Gem that shows up may not be. There are also a few instances where Gems will spawn ONLY when a specific Quest is active, such as “Making Friends.” Those Gems are NOT listed on this page, but instead on the relevant Quest guides.

Most Gemstones in Wheatflour Wonderland are one-time only spawns – they will appear once and not respawn once collected. Every day you can collect 15 Gems spread between the Royal Gardens, Crafting Court, Wheatheart Tree, and Citadel, with Gems spawning in a variety of set locations, so you can check these spots to collect more Gems (and use an Island Bouquet to respawn them mid-day if needed!)

Gemstone Respawn Locations

These locations will spawn Gems every day, so you can return to them to collect Gems you will need for crafting Wands and opening treasure chests. Note that the number and type of Gem which appear daily are randomized, although more common gems such as Quartz, Alexandrite, Topaz, and Spinel appear more frequently, while Opal, Citrine, Tanzanite, and Diamond are less common.

In the Royal Gardens, Gems can spawn on either or both of the pedestals above and below the stairs leading to the Wheatheart Tree. They can also spawn at the top of this staircase on the round platform.

In the Wheatheart Tree area itself, Gems can spawn at the entrance, along the spiral staircase and on the rocks underneath the spiral staircase.

Gems may spawn in the middle of the path on the right side of the Royal Gardens, just north of the staircase leading down to the Wheatflower Fields.

You may find Gems in the circular area south of the fountain in the Royal Gardens, where Tuxedosam hangs out during the Quest “Making Friends.”

Gems can appear in between the four Flowl statues on the left side of the Royal Gardens.

At the border between the Royal Gardens and the Citadel, there are pedestals to the left and right of the path. Either or both of these pedestals can spawn Gems. Just north of this is a fountain – it is also possible to find Gems inside!

Gems can spawn next to the Citadel Fast Travel Mailbox.

To the left of the Citadel’s fast travel mailbox is the platform with stained glass images of the Wheatflour Guardians. Gems can spawn on or around these images.

About halfway up the spiral staircase on the left side of the Citadel is a platform where Gems can spawn daily.

At the top of that spiral staircase, head left to reach a round platform with lamps on it, near the entrance to the Cabins. Gems appear in the middle of this platform!

At the base of the Citadel’s left-most tower is a roughly half-circle shaped platform that can contain Gems.

Gems appear in the fountain to the left of the room where “Find Ebi Fry” is played.

Similarly to the left fountain, the fountain to the right of the “Find Ebi Fry” room can contain Gems.

Gems may spawn at the base of the staircase leading up to the Crafting Court.

Finally, Gems can appear both on the main Crafting Court platform, where the Wand Forge is located, and on the smaller platforms surrounding it.

Best Path For Collecting Gems

The most efficient path to collect all the respawning Gems each day is as follows:

  • Start in the Wheatheart Tree – don’t forget to check both on and under the spiral staircase!
  • Cross the Royal Gardens from right to left, briefly dipping south of the Fountain to grab those Gems
  • Head north from the Royal Gardens into the Citadel, grabbing Gems at the entrance
  • Go up the left staircase, then briefly detour right to the Guardian platform and fast travel mailbox to collect Gems there
  • Return left and head up the left spiral staircase, grabbing Gems both on the platform halfway up and on the large platform at the top
  • Cross the middle level of the Citadel from left to right, checking in both fountains
  • Go up the stairs to the Crafting Court. Finish your path by collecting Gems both at the base of the stairs and in the Court itself.

In addition to the locations listed above, there are a number of one-time only spawn spots in other areas of Wheatflour Wonderland (including the Citadel, which has both one-time and respawning gems.) These one-time spawn locations are listed below, sorted by region:

Wheatflower Fields Gemstone Locations

None of the Gemstones in the Wheatflower Fields area respawn – they are all one-time spawns only!

On the left side of the Wheatflower Fields is a Flowl you can talk to, who will teach you how to activate Flowl Statues and use them to remove forcefields. The Flowl Statue next to them is holding a Quartz Gemstone. After you’ve used it to remove the forcefield leading to the Floating Fields, you can take the Quartz for yourself.

On the far right side of Wheatflower Fields, there is a small ledge with a Gem on it. You will need to glide down to it and then climb back up.

Floating Fields Gemstone Locations

The Floating Fields are accessed from the left of the Wheatflower Fields, and are located on a series of floating islands. To get to the Floating Fields, talk to the Flowl on the left side of the Wheatflower Fields, who will explain how to use the statue to lower the Quartz Forcefield. Like the Wheatflower Fields, every Gem in the Floating Fields is a one-time only spawn.

As soon as you enter the Floating Fields, head left until you reach a bridge. Then, go to the southern point of the island you are currently on to find a Gem.

Head one island to the right of where you currently are. There is a Gem on this small island.

Return to the bridge and cross it. Then, when you hit a round plaza, head south and walk along a passage with Flowl statues on either side. At the end of the passage is a Gem on the ground. Note that this Gem will always be a Topaz, as it is needed to solve the Wheatheart Puzzle nearby.

Return to the bridge and this time head north and then east. Jump along a chain of small islands until you reach one with a Flowl platform on it. There is a Gem on this island.

Jump back along the chain of small islands. This time, head north. You will see a spiral staircase. At the base of this staircase is a Gem.

Continue along the islands until you reach the north-most point of the Floating Fields. There is a forcefield here that you need to dispel using a Topaz Wand. Once you have removed the forcefield, you will find multiple Gems on the ground.

Citadel Gemstone Locations

In addition to the respawning Gemstones mentioned earlier on this page, there are a few one-off Gem spawns in the Citadel, which can be found in the following locations:

When entering the Citadel from the Royal Garden, instead of going up the stairs in front of you, head left and walk along the boundary between the Citadel and the Royal Gardens. At the end of this path, hidden under a spiral staircase, is a Gem.

From the Citadel entrance, head to the right. There are two Flowls standing next to some broken lampposts. Talk to the Flowl on the left, who will teach you how to repair lampposts and give you a Ruby gemstone to help you do so.

Periwinkle Park Gemstone Locations

To access Periwinkle Park, interact with the Grand Flowl at the top of the Citadel (near the Upper Citadel fast travel point). They will ask you to use Magic Wands to turn the two lamps on either side of them two different colors. The easiest way to do that is use the Quartz Wand you craft during “Making Friends” on one lamp, and a second wand made from a commonly spawning Gemstone (such as Topaz or Alexandrite) on the other.

Once you have done this, you will unlock a platform that teleports you to Periwinkle Park and the Dusty Dunes, a cluster of islands in the sky. These areas have LOTS of Gems that you can pick up only once, but NO Gemstones that respawn. Exploring here is a great source of one-time-only Gems!

As soon as you enter Periwinkle Park, head to the right to find a Gem on the ground at the very edge of the island.

Head north-east to the top right part of Periwinkle Park’s main island. There will be some Gems on the ground in between the dunes here.

Now, head north-west to the top left part of Periwinkle Park’s main island. There is a Gem here at the very edge of the island.

Next, head south-east to the bottom right corner of the main island. There is a group of small platforms protected by an Amethyst forcefield. Break the forcefield and collect the Gems on the platforms.

From the top left part of the main island, jump onto the floating platforms and head north (upwards) The north-west island is protected by an Amethyst forcefield, and there will be a group of Gems on the ground just past the forcefield.

Next, head south (downwards) along the floating platforms. On the large island with the Flockadoodler platform (which leads to the Critter Temple,) there will be Gems in the center.

Just south of the island with the Flockadoodler platform is another Amethyst forcefield. Break through it to find an island with two lines of floating platforms, one going left and one right. Head right (and upwards) until you reach the final platform. There is a Gem here.

From the main island of Periwinkle Park, head north and east to an island roughly shaped like a bean. The top (northern) part of this island has another section of dunes, and there are gems between them.

Head to the bottom edge of the same bean-shaped island. There is a Gemstone in the bottom-middle section of the island’s lowest edge, next to two clumps of rock.

The last Gemstone in Periwinkle Park is found due north of the “Cogimyun’s Corral” Fast Travel Mailbox, on the southern-most of the large islands. It is located to the left of the arch with a Flouster Critter on it.

Dusty Dunes & Bell Garden Gemstone Locations

The Dusty Dunes is another large floating island. It is located to the north-east of Periwinkle Park, and is accessed by heading east from the large bean-shaped island. The Bell Garden is a small area south of the Dusty Dunes and north of Periwinkle Park. Like Periwinkle Park, all Gems in the Dusty Dunes and Bell Garden are one-time spawns only, and will not respawn.

As soon as you enter the Dusty Dunes, head to the far right side of the island. Just at the edge of the Amethyst Forcefield there you can find a Gem.

Next, head to the northern tip of the Dusty Dunes island. Just south of the small chain of islands leading off the Dusty Dunes, you can find a Gem.

There is a Gem to the left of the bridge leading between the Dusty Dunes and the Bell Garden.

Finally, there is a Gem on a small floating island directly south of the Bell Garden.
