Disney-obsessed TikToker stays at the new Pixar Place Hotel at California Adventure Park: Here’s her honest verdict…
‘I truly felt like I was transported into a Pixar movie.’
That’s the impression Juliet Nuzzo, a Disney-obsessed TikToker got when she recently visited one of Disney’s newest hotels, Pixar Place Hotel.
Located in Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, the entire theme of the hotel is based around the famous Pixar animation studio and its creations.
The content creator filmed her stay at the hotel and posted her ‘honest review’ of it to her TikTok account (@perfectingthemagic), where she has received over 400,000 views and 37,000 likes.
Juliet spoke to MailOnline Travel about her impression of the hotel. Her verdict? She said: ‘This is my new happy place.’

The themed hotel is based entirely around animation studio Pixar. Juliet said she felt like she was ‘transported into a Pixar movie’
In the clip, she reveals the colourful entrance and bright reception area, which features animation-themed art and a huge sculpture of the instantly-recognisable Pixar Lamp, which takes centre stage.
She then shows a real-life ‘Joe Gardener’ from the Pixar movie Soul singing and playing the piano, before filming an outdoor pool area, which she is ‘blown away’ by.
Her footage also includes a peek at her Pixar-themed room and the ‘phenomenal’ view from her window.
Juliet told MailOnline Travel: ‘You can’t walk two feet in this hotel without finding some little touch of Pixar. It’s bubbly and bright everywhere you look.’
She said of her room: ‘I couldn’t believe its spaciousness and the Pixar theme was evident from floor to ceiling. It didn’t hurt that I had the best Disneyland park view from my hotel that I’ve ever had.’
She awarded her theme-park-view room ‘high marks for comfort’.
‘I loved having a little Pixar lamp on my desk and the fun mural-style headboard,’ she said.
However, she added: ‘My only complaint is the bathroom’s lack of theming, which felt a bit generic compared to the rest of the room.’

But for the Disney fanatic, it’s the proximity to California Adventure Park that was the most exciting.
She said: ‘If I’m staying at a Disneyland hotel, I’m going to spend a significant amount of time inside the parks. Pixar Place offers one of the shortest walks to the park entrance, which is a major perk.’
Were there any surprises? Juliet claimed the addition of live music was the biggest ‘wow factor’.
She said: ‘Seeing “Joe” from Soul playing on a grand piano in the lobby was genuinely touching.’
Was there anything she didn’t like?
Juliet revealed that the hotel was found wanting in the dining department.
She continued: ‘I look forward to the food as part of the experience of staying at a hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel feels like it’s a bit short on dining options.
‘I’d be tempted to hang out longer if they could add some more.’
She claimed that the pool’s quick-service restaurant was closed during her stay and said that she would recommend a trip to nearby Starbucks over the hotel’s onsite coffee shop ‘The Sketch Pad’.

Despite her disappointment over the dining facilities, Juliet described her meal at the Great Maple American Eatery, the resort’s flagship restaurant, as ‘fantastic’.
She said: ‘I genuinely can’t wait to go back there and eat. The maple doughnuts [at breakfast] are legitimately dreamy.’
While the room price is ‘steep’, with rates starting at $440 (£354) a night, Juliet said: ‘I do think the value is there.’
She explained: ‘I’ve paid more than $300 (£241) a night for local Anaheim hotels that don’t have the same park perks, theming and unique touches of the Pixar Place Hotel.
‘The hotel is definitely a pricey spend, but the quality of the décor and rooms made me feel like I more than got my money’s worth.’

Juliet said she would ‘definitely’ return to the hotel, and is already planning a ‘Pixar movie marathon night’ on her next visit.
She said: ‘If it’s in your budget, I’d recommend a visit. The room quality is fantastic and the proximity to Disneyland Resort is ace.’
Although she warned: ‘You do need to love Pixar.’ Otherwise, she added: ‘You might not appreciate Nemo lurking over your bed at night.’
