CT Tourist Attraction Named One of the Most Boring in the World

Well that’s rude!

I know we don’t have too much going on in this state and there aren’t many tourist attractions here, but to call one of them the most boring in the WORLD? Wow, that’s a hit.

I will say, I don’t feel like people necessarily travel to Connecticut “just because.” They’re usually here for a reason. We’re not too much of a touristy place. There are a handful of people that come for a mini getaway to places like Kent, Mystic, etc., but usually, we’re not really known for tourists.

That makes sense as to why we don’t have a whole lot of tourist attractions. There are some, just not a whole bunch. One we do have though? The Connecticut Science Center and apparently, people don’t find it entertaining. Daily Mail put out a list of the 100 most boring tourist attractions in the world which is based on 66.7 million Google reviews and the Connecticut Science Center sits at number 39.

I’m not one for tourist traps at all, but to call it the most boring in the WORLD is a little crazy. I’ve never been, but I know people that have and their kids loved it. I took a look at their website to see what kind of exhibits they have. It looks like they have a bunch of different options for kids.

Looking at their prices, it does seem a bit pricey. It costs $29 for an adult and $23 for kids. If you want to go into their butterfly exhibit, it’s an additional $7. I didn’t take a deep dive into the reviews, but they do have a 4.6 rating on Google reviews.

If you’re interested in going, the Connecticut Science Center is located at 250 Columbus Blvd in Hartford. Their hours are currently Wednesday through Sunday from 10 AM – 4 PM.
